Luke Steichen (film production ‘20) is head of production and co-owner of video production company , where he leads hiring, training, and managing the production teams in their Nashville and West Fargo locations. He also works with clients from concept to completion and helps develop new strategies for Chezy to provide the most value to the industry. Luke is a recipient of the MSUM Foundation 2026 10 Under 10 Award.

As co-owner of Chezy, he is responsible for business development, creating connections, and marketing Chezy’s services. Luke earned his B.A. in Film Production from Minnesota State University in 2020. Before joining Chezy, he was a production team member for Fargo’s WDAY-TV and the Fargo-Moorhead Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Since then, he has built Chezy’s reputation, working with non-profits and other businesses to showcase their brands. Luke strives to hire MSUM alumni to help them develop their videography skills and access career opportunities in the region. He has consistently demonstrated professional excellence, entrepreneurial leadership, and a meaningful impact on the people he serves.

Luke, also an award-winning video director, is known as down-to-earth and highly knowledgeable in his career. N.D. Governor Kelly Armstrong says, “Luke is part of a new generation of entrepreneurial leaders strengthening North Dakota’s business community. He supports economic development by helping companies share their stories, produces meaningful work to elevate nonprofits, and consistently seeks projects that contribute to the greater good.”

From broadcast production to leading a successful video production company within ten years of graduation, he is a testament to how talent develops beside work-ethic and integrity. 

Joe Tjosvold, the founder and CEO of Chezy, received the 10 Under 10 Award in 2025. Their colleague Shad Vadaa is also receiving a 2026 10 Under 10 Award. What a great team of Dragons!
